About Content Declined
Content Declined is the culmination of Pothill’s meagre artistic vision. Pothill has seen the future, and it is one of decline, of the obsolescence of the very content of life itself. Strange tidings come from afar: Flying armadillos have appeared in the skies above distant Jutland. Junk food merchants stalk the streets of fabled Vesterbro. A Maltese witch lurks the eminently lurkable lurklings of Nørrebro. Reliable witnesses have witnessed things in central Copenhagen.
But none of this really matters because Pothill has problems of his own –Primarily selecting the right colour neckerchief to wear each day. Besides being the culmination of Pothill’s artistic vision, Content Declined is a plea for help, from Pothill to you. And possibly back again, which would make it “a pleas for help”, thereby confirming the slow death of the rules of grammar that necessarily accompanies the coming apocalypse, like a train of ever-so-many ants accompanying a line of cupcake-eating school children.
